Digital Projector
At the theater I work at we just got our first digital projector! It's so cool, we control it through a touch screen computer and instead of film the movie is on a portable hardrive. The other day at work we got it running and sat in the theater to watched some of it. The image is amazing, no scratches or little black spots. It was cool to see but at the same time it was kind of depressing because slowly the digital projectors will take over the the movie theater world and us projectionists will loose our jobs. Not that I want to be a projectionist for the rest of my life but there are a lot of die hard projectionists out there.

Digital rules, but projectors are moving the way of drive in theaters. Which I want to recreate in George Little park someday, want to help?

Darci, that sounds like an awsome idea.
Film will never die! (kind of like rock n roll) My dad gave me his old canon the other day & I plan on picking up a few rolls of film tomorrow to test it out. Should be great fun.
Recently Telugu (indian) movies coming in external hard drives. I saw 2 digital movies recently, the images and audio quality is very crisp.
