A Promise is a Promise
Really there is no reason for any of you to watch this video except for Tamara, Joni, and my mom. The only reason it's up is because I sorta lost a bet or a deal sorta thing. Sighhh, enjoy.

So, this is that little thing I filmed at High Park. Don't expect much, just a bunch of trees and ducks.
So today was sooo hot outside, 28!!! And tomorrow... 28 AGAIN! Yep. So Monday Mike and Moe came over, checked out my pad then we headed downtown. Surprisingly I was able to give them directions, I realized I know how to get around Toronto better than I thought. So after driving around and stuff we went, were else? MANDARIN!!!!! I think they enjoyed it just as much as I did. There's nothing better than a Chinese buffet that also serves Italian, and I forgot to mention all the ice cream you can eat. Anyway, so after that we went to the Bay (the department store), this Bay has to be the biggest Bay in the world. It had 9 floors!!!!!!! We spent much of our day there and then they drove me home. Mike fixed my computer mouse, apparently there was a build up of hair inside. Ewww, I know. I didn't take any pictures because my camera called it quits :( I swear I'm not lying just to get out of the uniform picture promise. Ask Kevin! I'll have to video tape me in my work uniform, even worse. Can you tell my style of writing is a little different this post, it feels different to me??? I think it's because I just got back from a comedy club and I'm in that one liner kind of mode. I'll try and stop now. So today after working all day I went to this guy's sound studio and he taught us a bit about sound editing and mixing and we get to go back and mess around with his recording equipment. I'm going to go in with Andrew next week and he's going to record some of his guitar playing accompanied by a drumming track by one of his friends from Newfoundland. The sound studio is so cool, he has a Foley studio too! A Foley artist is my dream job in the film industry but one of the hardest to get into. For those of you who don't know what a Foley artist is, they are the people who recreate the sounds, like the foot steps and the door slams. So yeah, after the sound studio stuff Andrew and I went to this comedy club we've never been to and it's way better than Yuk Yuks. It's better because it's free, and the people are more laid back and just a better atmosphere I guess. The place is called Spirits. I guess I'll be going there every Wednesday now. Man, I have a lot to say right now, lol. The other day I went to High Park for the first time. It was paradise!!!!! It's this great place with hundreds of trails, up hill, downhill, pavement paths, dirt paths, brick paths, whatever you prefer. This park is so huge, I hiked for two hours and couldn't even cover the whole place. There's this huge lake, and this giant castle play ground. There's even a zoo in the middle of the park. It was the weirdest thing, there was not a single soul at the zoo when I was walking through it. Even in the trails, hardly anyone was there. I can't understand why, I totally forgot I was still in the city. And the best part is that it's only a 20 minute walk from my house! It's a little piece of BC for me to enjoy and oddly it kind of reminds me of Saskatchewan too, don't ask why. I brought my video camera with me and put together a little video but it's not quite done, I'll post it soon. What else did I have to write about? Ummm, on Saturday I'm going to Much Music with Andrew to give him moral support because he's auditioning to become a VJ. The guy's crazy, he wants to be a professional comedian, musician, actor, TV writer and now a TV host, what next? So yah, watch for that High Park vid I put together, it's coming soon.
If you haven't already Kevin C's blog yet, I'll fill you in. Last night we ran into a skunk!!!!! We were walking on the rail road tracks and we threw a rock into the bushes and out it came. Thankfully it didn't spray us, but that was the first time I've seen a skunk not from a zoo. Yeah, so read Kevin's blog if you want the entire in depth description of last night's adventure. We've been having a lot of them lately.
Yo yo yo. Today was nice, I got let off work early from the National Club. I started at 9:00 a.m. and worked until 7 p.m., I was supposed to work until 10:30. It's been raining here for the last few days, but still extremely hot. Yesterday it was 29 with thunder and lightning storms. I love it! The only downside is my satellite hasn't been working because of the weather. No TV for me, which sucks because I wanted to watch that new show "On The Lot" with Mark Brunett and Steven Spielberg. Shucks. That's really why I'm writing this entry, I have nothing to do for once.
Happy Mothers Day Joleen, Mom, Mommy, Momma, Ma.
So I had 4 days off and it was the best time ever to have days off because the weather was amazing, it was like 25 everyday. Anyway I spent most of my time being a kid again with Tim and Andrew. Tuesday we went to Yuk Yuks then we walked around the downtown area, to the CN tower, by the Rogers Center (where the Blue Jays play) and to the docks where all the huge yachts are kept. The next day we wondered through some trails and then followed some railroad tracks for an hour or so. After we some how made it to Little Portugal and became completely lost. We walked though forests, neighbourhoods, junk yards, and gravel pits. I seriously didn't know how we were going to get home, we had been walking for over 2 hours. It was the weirdest thing, some how we ended up back at the railroad track were we first left it. It was too weird, you had to be there. Then yesterday we walked to the nearest movie theater and saw Disturbia, it was a good movie. Then after we hung out at numerous parks, had jumping competitions off the swings, found some skipping ropes and used them for a while, threw socks at bats, Then we hung out at a Jewish graveyard, they have the hugest gravestones ever. Spending three night's out all over the city, I've realized that Toronto is way safer then everyone makes it out to be. Not once did we run into any suspicious looking people. I think if I was in the downtown area where all the bars and homeless people are that would be another story but the residential areas are fine. Anyway the three of us plan to continue our child adventures as much as we can. Mr. Celiz, your coming with us next time, we found some places for you to graffiti.
I just cooked stir fry in my underwear. Sorry for the unwanted image. I cook stir fry all the time, like mother, like daughter, lol. It's a fast nutrition fix and it's always vegetarian because it's faster and meat is expensive. I always add peanuts though!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After much searching I finally found out that Ontario doesn't have Old Dutch chips!!! They are my favorite brand of chips. I wanted my American friends to try ketchup chips for the first time but only if they were Old Dutch and now I can't even do that. Arrrr. Andrew said he's never even heard of Old Dutch and he's from Newfoundland. Sadness. Now I want Old Dutch more than ever. I'm surprised it took me so long to notice they weren't here. This is a short post but I'll be doing another one very soon :)
