Polish Chocolate

So I met with my parents today in Mississauga. We hung out at their B &B for a bit and then went to the LTT convention. After that we went out for Chinese food with the Barkman's. I won't see them again until Friday when we leave for NYC!!!!!!!! My mom brought me a gift from Ryan and Leah, it's the creepiest thing you've ever seen. I'll take a pic and show it one of these days, it's a turnip man. Also today my supervisor/coworker, Renata took me to her house and to a near by Polish store where she bought me about 50 lbs of Polish chocolate. I have chocolate to last me the rest of the year :)

Stars

Tonight the sky was so clear and the stars were so bright. I wish I had the guts to lay a blanket in the front yard and look up at the sky all night. Tonight walking home I thought of Leah and I when we slept in sleeping bags in her back yard. Early in the morning we got really cold so we went inside to sleep. Later on that morning Leah's dad was up and saw a black bear sitting on their fence in the back yard, so he threw apples at it to scare it away. If Leah and I stayed... who knows what would have happened, Ryan wouldn't have a wife and you wouldn't have this blog to read.
Today I was at the tanning salon and Leah Miller was there (Much Music VJ/ Dallas Green's girlfriend). It's weird that she goes to the same one as me. Anyway the salon has these new beds that talk to you. It tells you random facts about tanning and stuff. You can turn off the voice, it gets kind of annoying.

Today I worked both jobs but I had a few hours in between so I went out for dinner with a few friends from the Club. It was nice, I introduced them to the Pickle Barrel's Pina Coladas. Kevin and I had them a week ago and I fell in love with them. Then we went and bought a cork screw because one of the girls I work with lives in an area where four rapes just happened. So she now has a non suspicious self defense weapon. As for those questions from my last post, I'll try my best to answer them now.

Mom: When did you eat Mc Donald's last?
Me: About a month ago, I'm doing good.
Mom: Do you have Ontario Medical yet?
Me: No, not until June 1st!!!
Mom: How many movies do you own?
Me: The ones in Toronto... almost 100, not including my TV series.
Mom: Would you ever move back to BC?
Me: YES

Tamara: Share with us your motto for life.
Me: Oh man. I don't think I have a motto, but Tamara you have opened my eyes and I've been trying to think of one, a genius one. Something to do with being happy.

Kevin: How do you feel about your Roomie?
Me: I wish he would just leave me alone and pretend I didn't exist. Well, I wish he would consider my existence when he's blasting his music, he has no respect for other people. I would also like it if he got a job so that he would be in the house less. Two of my room mates are on disability.
Kevin: Do you think it's true that lefties tend to be more artistic than rightios?
Me: That's hard to say, actually Amanda, Tamara, Lauren, and my Mom are all lefties and they are all very creative in different ways. Kevin, are you a leftie?
Kevin: Do you know anyone in Vancouver?
Me: Not really, just acquaintances. I have a great aunt there, Aunt Helen???
Kevin: Pizza or French Fries?
Me: Both.
Kevin: What is your earliest memory?
Me: When I was 4 years old and we were living in a trailer, I remember my Grandma Porter shouted "They're here!!!!" and I ran and looked out the front window where I saw my dad getting out of the car with my mom who was holding my new baby brother Kevin W.
Kevin: Is Iron Man real?
Me: In our hearts.
Kevin: What are your thoughts on Dr. Suess?
Me: Green eggs and ham, three bears on a bike, sometimes I wonder if he's on the same thing as the guy who wrote Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks for your questions, Darci if you thought of any I'll still answer.

Number Three Zero Zero

This is my 300th post!!!!!

Today my room mate bought a new car and we went for a drive. I was a little scared to get in a car with that guy but frankly I don't care anymore. He told me I shouldn't wear make up and that I should listen to my parents, lol. He wants to take me to a drive in theater in the summer. I doubt I'll go. What a boring 300th edition entry, how can I spice it up? I know... ask me some questions and I'll try my best to answer. Or give me a topic and I'll tell you how I feel about it.

naaaa

There's this group of people who are like hard core Wonderlanders. They used to work at the theater; Luiza, Lovena, Geoff, and Michael. I went with Michael last year, anyway I'm joining their Wonderland group. They pretty much go to Wonderland once every two weeks. I probably won't go as much as them but this summer I'll be joining them numerous times. Kevin, your coming too. Speaking of Kevin, he's getting a new Mac the size of my closet. I'm so jealous!!!! We're going to make movies because Nathan has a camera and Kevin will have the editing software, and I'll bring forth my amazing acting skills (I'm only kidding). As soon as I find a place that sells an analog to digital adaptor you're going to see hundreds of my old movies including Tamara, Amanda, Lauren, Kevin W, Ryan and me dancing in my living room with the coffee table pushed back and never before seen footage of Jachin. Anyway, better go to sleep.

Victoria Day

So today one of my room mates almost burned down the house. I was in the shower when it all went down. Paul was making spaghetti, doing laundry, and cleaning his room at the same time and forgot about the spaghetti. Some how it caught fire and filled the entire house with smoke. I don't think there was any damage, I haven't went to look yet but my room is still hazy.
I had the day off today. I spent the morning with Anne Shirley ;) and the afternoon with Kevin. We saw Iron Man finally, at the new AMC Theater downtown. I agree with everyone, it's the best Marvel movie yet.

Make sure you notice the crazy homeless guy who took the bands tambourine.

Happy Anniversary Parents!!!!!!

Not Hungry

It's been only one week since I broke up with Josh but it's felt like a month. I have good days and bad days, mostly bad. I have more mood swings than a pregnant woman. It does seem to help when I'm working or with friends but it feels like I'll never get better. I know things like this happen everyday and I should just get over it but it's easier said than done.

Creepy Man

Today when I was working projection I walked by one of the the widows and some guy had his face pressed up against it. It surprised me so much I screamed. The windows are pretty high up, you have to stand on the seats to see inside. So I left for a few minutes and when I came back he was still there. I called my friend Shane to go into the theater an check it out, so he did and said there was no one there. So I went back and there he was again. My manager had to get him to leave. Later that night I went down stairs to help clean a theater and there he was standing by the door, I turned around and went straight back up stairs.

Yachts

One of my favorite places to go in Toronto is Toronto Island, it's so beautiful. A guy I work with just told me about this yacht club that will take you on one of their yachts to the island instead of taking a ferry. You pay for 16 passes and it works out to be cheaper than the ferry. I've never been on a yacht before, but I think I'm going to try it out.
9 days until my parents arrive, 13 days until I see Matthew Good, 14 days until I go to New York. I must admit I'm getting pretty excited. I'm also excited for the end of June. The National Club is taking the employees to a winery in Niagara on the Lake. We get dinner, a tour, and of course tasting. Before the winery we'll be dropped off at the falls for half the day. Of course most of us will be at the Casino. I work with some pretty big gamblers. I'll probably hit the Maid of the Mist just so I can have one of those ponchos.
I'm pretty sure I'll be coming to Terrace at the beginning of September. Turns out Kevin C is going to Vancouver to visit a friend around the same time so we might go together. I'm trying to convince him to come to Terrace, that way you will all get to see what a Filipino African looks like.

Speed Racer Slow Down!

I don't want to talk details but some of you know I had a rough couple of days. I'm not the same person anymore and during this whole ordeal I was blown away by how many people cared about me that I didn't think did. I almost thought about quiting my blog, that didn't stick for long. So anyway, today I hung out with Kevin and Nathan. First we went out for pizza, then we went to Eglinton park (our usual hang out).
Some one spray painted the snow, it looked kind of cool
I tried to teach Nathan how to make sounds from a blade of grass, no luck Kevin tried to teach him how to whistle, no luck
A typical photo of me, you can't see my face
This branch was so coolNathanThen we went and watched Speed Racer at Imax. I hated it, the boys loved it, they must have been on drugs. The only thing good about it was Emile Hirsch and the monkey. The Chronicles of Narnia comes out this Friday, that means I'll be working like crazy. Can't wait to see that movie.

Jays vs. Rays

Josh, Jeff, and I went to a baseball game yesterday. It was The Jays vs. The Rays. The crowd was pretty entertaining. I'll just list off the things that happened, it' will be easier that way.
This couple sitting near our section got arrested. They put up a good fight as the security tried putting on the hand cuffs.
A ball was tossed into the crowd and instead of catching it the old guy just let it hit him in the face.
A drunk guy kept yelling at the players like a true Blue Jays fan. Security tried to kick him out but he got to stay because the crowd started chanting "let him stay!, let him stay!"
There were Pigeons on the field, Josh couldn't stop watching them.
There was a fight outside after. Josh and Jeff went to go watch it, I headed the other way. They made fun of me after.
I bought a $4 water.
Josh had peanuts
Short stop John McDonald sprained his ankle right in front of us, here's the footage... http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200805062652053
And the most memorable part of the game (because it's still stuck in my head), A guy behind us kept hassling The Ray's player Evan Longoria by yelling out Eeeeevaaaaa.... Longoreeeeaaaaaa, Eeeeevaaaa... Longoreeeaaaa.

Asian Poo

There's nothing more depressing than finishing a season of a TV show on DVD. That's it, there's no more, now you have to find something else to do. I promised myself I would be productive this weekend but Sunday has arrived and the only thing productive I've done is shave my legs. The theater has been busy, busy like it's Christmas. Iron Man is apparently the best Marvel movie since the first Spider Man, possibly better. There have been people crying after because of its goodness. I was off at 11p.m. last night but I didn't leave until 1:30. I could have stayed later. When I got home last night I caught a raccoon eating my moldy cheese cake. Those raccoons are sneaky here. At my last place I saw them every night, here you see evidence of them but you never see them. Now I know it's a raccoon and not the neighbours dog. I also discovered a little secret that I 'm not sure what to do about. One side of my house shares one bathroom and the other side shares the other bathroom. My Asian room mate, who doesn't share my bathroom sneaks into my bathroom early in the morning and takes a poo there. Maybe my bathroom is better for that or it's some kind of revenge, it's just a little weird.

Nothing

I'm babysitting my room mates kid right now. He's like 11. I don't have to do anything just make sure he doesn't leave or start crying. I don't even know the kids name. Anyway, I worked at the theater last night for the first time in over a week. There was a misunderstanding and the person who did the schedule thought it was me who asked for a week off when it wasn't. I didn't mind, I was glad to have some time off. I took a day off from the club for the first time ever, for Josh's birthday. The next day three people asked if it was true that I was pregnant. I missed one day and crazy rumours started. NO I'm not. So last night after work at the theater there was a little party for the employees. Everybody brought food, there were prizes, we played PlayStation in one of the empty theaters on the big screen and then we watched Iron Man. I left early because I had to catch the subway home. I won a Cloverfield poster. Kevin from Africa, do you want it? You can put it next to your Harry Potter poster. This morning I was awaken by my phone vibrating under my arm pit. So I answered it, it was a guy from Telus trying to get me to join a contract and a new phone if I wanted, so I did. What was I thinking? I don't need a new phone but I'm getting tired of mine and the contract works out to be cheaper than what I'm paying for pay and talk right now. I guess when I have it in my hands I'll know if it was a mistake or not.
