I can't think of a title

Hey Everyone. I went to Yuk Yuks again tonight. Tuesdays are only $3. It was a pretty bad show actually. One guy went up and started eating a sandwich. He didn't even say anything, he just shoved a Subway sandwhich down his throat. Security had to come up and pull him off the stage, that was more funny. I didn't really like standup comedy until I saw it live. It's great, I'll probably be there every tuesday night. Anyway on our way to Yuk Yuks I remembered Gwen Stefani was at Much Music and we were like a few minutes away so we went and checked that out for a while. I was like 50 feet away from her!!!

That's Tim and Kevin. Wierd hey, their names I mean. Tim is from Chicago and Kevin is from Africa. Crazzzzy.

Neon License Plate Trim

Ok so I was watching all my videos that I have stored on my computer and came across some random things I thought I should share with everyone. This was of Tamara before I left. We were "parked" in the Zellers parking lot facing KFC like the cool people do with their low rider trucks and their neon license plate trim.

And this is something I randomly sent Kevin one day.

Cat Power

So ya that concert I went to was really good. She (Cat Power) had a pretty amazing voice. Andrew and I almost got lost trying to find the place and we almost got hit by a car! There was a car turning left as we were walking through the cross walk and I guess they didn't see us, but they slammed on their breaks like a few feet infront of us. That was a tad scary.

This is Cat Power on David Letterman

Today the school director, the editing teacher and another teacher had a special meeting with me. They told me that I was not allowed to edit for one more minute for that doctor because he is using me for slave labour. Apparently i've worked over 200 hours for this guy and I only get $100. In the e-mail that he sent before the job, he said that he just wanted the convention filmed and a small bit of editing, but that was a lie! I've hardley slept, I've been missing school, and my grades are slipping all because of this stupid editing job. I can't wait until this gets resolved.

One more thing, I recommend everyone see's the movie "Stranger Than Fiction", it's a great movie!!! I've seen it twice already.

Couch and a Concert

Yesssssss. My landlords gave me their old couch yesterday!!!! Now I actually have a real piece of furniture. I may even sleep on it tonight. Speaking of sleep, I've never had so little in my entire life. For the past two weeks I've been getting an average of 4 hours a night. I've even slept on the couch at school a few nights. I pretty much wake up, go to school, edit for Doctor Evans (for that connvention I filmed a while ago), go to work, get home around 12:30 a.m. then homework time or I go back to the school and edit for Dr. Evans some more. But tomorrow I finally get a day off from work so me and Andrew (a guy from my class) are going to a concert!! The concert is by "Cat Power". I've never heard of them either but apparently they are pretty good. Oh and before I go, one more month until I'm in Terrace!!!

night, day, I don't know!!!

I spent the weekend at work and editing that doctors convention thing I filmed a while ago. On Sunday night, after working a double I started editing at 8:00 p.m. and finished at 12:00 p.m. the next day!!! I spent the entire night at school. Two guys from school stayed with me and kept me awake. When I got home I slept from 1:00 p.m. (Monday) until 7:00 a.m. the next day. I feel so messed up right now. My body doesn't know if it's night or day. So that's all I really have to say, I would write more in my blog but I really don't have much to say lately.

Good/Bad NEWS

Great news!!!! The Toronto Star (one of Torontos biggest newspapers) is doing a story on the car explosions that we did and they are going to use my footage for a picture and my name will be credited!!!! This will be awsome for my resume. I'm not sure when it comes out but I'll be sure to buy a copy. Some bad news. Today at the Eglinton subway station, the subway station right next to my work and school, where I go everyday, someone commited suicide by jumping in front of a train. They had to shut the subways down during rush hour which created caos everywhere. There were news crews everywhere and the whole Yonge-eglintion area was packed with people not knowing where to go or what to do. Luckly I had to work and wasn't stranded. I had a few more things to say but forgot. Oh well, I'll blog about it later.

Some pictures!!!

My school director who drove me to the explosion site took literaly 1000 pictures, and I happened to be in a couple. There I am, nice and warm before the rain/hail/snow/100 mph winds hit. Me, the tripod, and the HD camera.

This picture is a little creepy but it's the best one I could find of me with the firey background.

And there I am adjusting the tripod. That camera is worth almost $10,000!!!!!!!!

It was a pretty cold day. What you can't see in the pictures is that my feet were soaking wet and covered in mud. I was wearing 5 shirts, a winter jacket, two pairs of pants and 3 pairs of socks, and still I thought I was going to die of hypothermia. When there was an explosion I enjoyed the heat for a few minutes.

Yuk Yuks

I just got back from Yuk Yuks!!! It was hilarous. Tuesdays are only $3 and it's like 4 hours long. At one point one of the comedians was making fun of all the girls in the room. There were only like 3 of us. I was so scared when he looked at me. I knew I was about to be shread apart, but just at that very moment some moron threw an icecube at the guys head, so I was saved. But I really enjoyed it and will probably return every Tuesday night.

Hockey at the Movies

So, on Thursday at work they played the Toronto Maple Leafs game against Florida on the big screen on high defenition for the first time. Almost every news crew and newspaper were there filming and taking pictures. They were filming me sweep up popcorn, how interesting. The reason they were there really was because Darryl Suttler (former Leafs player) was there signing autographs. Then I had to clean the theater by myself!!! I've never collected so many alcohol bottles before in a theater. It was a disgusting mess, but in the end I found $3, a watch, and my manager felt bad so he gave me a $5 gift certificate for Walmart. On another topic, My term is ending once again and I have final exams on Monday then brand new classes on Tuesday. My new classes are Cinematography and Editing. Yahhhh, I can't wait for editing, I think that's the field I'm aiming to work in.
