Car Explosion Video

Here's the footage I promised. It's nothing special, I put it together in like a half an hour. It's only the explosions from Sunday, not Saturday. Press play!

Stupid time change!

I went back to Orangeville and blew up some more cars. Both days were extremly cold. It snowed, rained, hailed, and the wind was insane!!!! I'm glad to be back in my warm house. Did anyone else forget about the time change? I got up at 5:00 a.m. when I could have slept an hour more!!! Tony (who was picking me up) forgot too, so I didn't feel so bad. Here's some pictures at 6:45 a.m.

KABOOM!!!!

I just got back from the car explosion shoot. Man am I ever tierd!!! It was out in Orangeville, which is over an hour away. Tony, my school director picked me up and drove me back. It actually took place behind the Orangeville fire department. We blew up a Dodge Caravan, It looked exactly like Chris and Christy's van. It was really fun, I got to hang out in the fire department all day. They got called twice to go out and I got to watch them slide down the pole and get dressed in their fire gear in record time. We blew up the van twice (huge explosions) and two more times with less powerful explosions. It had to be the coolest thing I've ever seen. I was standing like 20 meters away. Tony told me I was more important than the camera and that I should back up a bit, but Ron, the FX supervisor said I'd be ok. The footage I took is going to be used in a low budget film that the school is producing in the spring staring CJ O'Maly (Some famous American wrestler). I go back tomorrow to film some more explosions, this time were blowing up a Ford.... Sorry Dad I forget what it's called but it's some kind of ugly station wagon. The footage that I took... I don't think I can show it to anyone since it's going to be in a movie and copywrited but who cares! I'm capturing it to my computer as we speak. I'll post a bit of it as soon as I can.

A day of Filming

So, I forgot to take a picture of the leaves. Sorry. Today was very stressful. Class was moved to my teachers apartment and we did some filming on the balcony. It was crazy cold!!!! We were out there for two hours. After class our actors came and we filmed in my teachers kitchen. Our script had a guy giving a girl a haircut, so I bought a wig and brought it with me. It looked kind of fake so the actress let us really cut her hair. I thought that was really nice of her, I offered to be her hair double and cut my hair but she has red hair. Then we had a whole bunch of difficulties with the camera and the other groups who were filming so I was glad when we finally left. Now comes my favorite part... the editing!!!! Also Evan, my filming partner can't come tomorrow for the filming of the car explosions so I have to do it all alone, I'm a little nervous. It's suposed to snow tomorrow so we'll see how things work out.

leaves/ the kiss/ explosions

Hello!!! Today when I was walking home I had to walk through leaves that were up to my shins. people have tiny lawns here so the leaves all collect on the sidewalk. I will try and take a picture of it tomorrow. Tomorrow... yes tomorrow will be a busy day for me. I will be filming a short film with three other students. It's called "The Kiss". The teacher made sure that our script has a kiss at the end. Today we cast our actors, which was a really stressful event, then I had to go shopping for a wig because in our film the guy is cutting the girls hair and we actually want it to look real. Then on Saturday I'm going to film some cars blowing up, I'm excited about that!!! I'll try my best to post the footage.

Movie night

Last Night I went to see "The Prestige" with four guys from my class. It was a pretty good movie except by the end of the movie your a little bit overwhelmed. I don't want to give anything away. Aparently we just missed John Travolta who came to watch "Marie Antoinnette". I know this is short but I have to leave for work asap!!!

Can't Sleep

It's past midnight and I just woke up from a really scary dream. Right before I went to bed I watched "American Psycho" which was a mistake. So now I'm wide awake, coughing and blowing my nose every 5 seconds. On a good note, it's official.... I have a plane ticket home for Christmas on December 23rd. I'm not sure how long i'll stay, probably 2-3 weeks. Also, I got another little filming job, my Special Effects teacher is going to be blowing up two cars at a gravel pit in Orangeville and he wants me to film it. That should be exciting. Mabey i'll post the footage. Anyway, I'm considering not going to school tomorrow because I felt like crap today but we'll see how I feel in the morning. Chow.

7 days

It's been 7 days since I wrote my last entry. This must be some kind of record for me. I've still been so busy, I'm usually only at home to sleep. It's finally caught up with me, I'm starting to get sick. I still don't have a bed yet either. I promised myself that I would go buy one when I had a day off from both school and work but I can't even remember the last time that happened. But on the bright side, I got to sleep in today and I'm going to walk over to Timothy's coffee shop and have myself a strawberry smoothie. If you havn't tried one, I really recomend you do!

Drunk men

Today I delt with 3 different drunks within the same hour. First, one of them was talking to me at work and wouldn't leave me alone, I was told not to sell him a ticket, the second was after work as I was heading out, this drunk guy punched another guy in the face for no reason and they kicked him out. He happened to be kicked out at the same time I was leaving so as we were both walking out he kept trying to shake my hand. Luckly there was another guy there to make him stop. Then on my way home on the subway this drunk guy comes and sits beside me and starts asking me all sorts of questions. I ended up getting off at another stop pretending it was mine so that he wouldn't follow me home. Usually I never have to deal with these people, it was just tonight for some reason. Nobody worry I carry pepper spray that Tamara gave me at all times.

So Thanksgiving is coming up and I have the day off from school and work. I was planning on attempting to cook for myself but I discovered that two people from work will also be alone on Thanksgiving so we decided that we would spend it together. We'll probably go eat out somewhere since none of us have ever cooked a turkey. Anyway, I think it's about time I updated everyone on my celebrity spottings. A few nights ago I say Billy Klippert, aka: third place winner from Canadian Idol 1.And tonight I sold a ticket to Sugar, the host for YTV, aka: the girl with the sqeeky voice. Yes, her voice is really like that in real life.
