There's a new blogger in town

Christina has a blog now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check it out through the link on my side bar. Yayyyyy! Soon, if my plan goes accordingly the entire world will have a blog!!!

Victim!!!!

I am officially a victim of credit card fraud (I think). I was going over my Master Card statement online when I noticed I was charged two times by different online dating services, unless I did this in my sleep I did not purchase any such thing. Of course when I phoned Master Card, I was on hold for a million years and finally when I got to talk to a human being he told me to phone back tomorrow. So, we'll see what happens. One more thing to worry about.

Cleaning is my passion

I'm sooo tierd. I havn't been able to sleep well for the past 4 days. I think it's because I have so many things on my mind. So this morning I was planning to sleep in but Felica came over with the cleaning lady (I swear she told me Thursday!) and we cleaned the entire morning. What a wonderful surprise! I have only 2 more days until I leave. I'm both sad and excited. Anyway, I just thought I'd post some old pictures for the heck of it and then I'm going to watch The Chronicals of Narnia with the actors commentary. Fun times.

Graduation Day!!! Tamara, Amanda, me.
My Birthday a long long time ago. Leah, me, Tamara, Sarah, and Amanda in the front.
Me, my brothers and my cousins Craig and Kristen.
Here's a picture my dad took of Ryan and Kevin HOLDING HANDS.

I can't believe it!!!

I couldn't believe who I saw at work today, Brittney Snow!!!!! She was coming out of the movie "Beerfest" with two other girls. I used to be a big fan of hers when she was on "American Dreams". She's a lot shorter in person.

Ok I'll do it

I guess it's about time I did one of these survey things. I don't like doing them because they reveal too much about me.

35. What Hollywood star do you think resembles you best? Angelina Jolie. I'm just kidding!!! I have no idea.

58. bueller??? bueller??? bueller?? Ferris. Ferris. Ferris.
59. How many jobs have you had? I'll do this chronologically. First I babysat, delivered newspapers, was a janitor, then a janitor/dishwasher at Camp Caledonia, then a Tim Hortons employee, and then a Silvercity employee. Oh, and I house sat like there was no tomorrow! So you do the math.
60. What do you want to achieve in life? I hate these kind of questions. I'll say happiness.

The scary makeup school

So, I went and filmed at The School of Professional Makeup today. The school is founded by Robert Closs. He's this big time Canadian makeup artist. He's been on a few episodes of "So Chic with Steven and Chris". Me and Evan (class mate) filmed them applying a new technique of airbrush makeup. We were filming it as a promo thing to put on their website. When it's up on there site I'll post the link. The school was very creepy. There was fake people from different movie characters that they had made. It was funny, I turned around this one corner and I almost knocked over a life size double of the possessed girl from "The Exorcist". I almost had a heart attack. The hallways were lined with fake bloody heads. They told us they had a hard time finding janitors who were willing to come in at night and clean. It was a scary place.Anyway, Robert gave Evan and I a whole bunch of tapes of him appearing on different television shows and asked us to edit it into a little movie, and he is going to pay us!!!!!! This is my first paying gig. It has begun.

Finally

Yahhh. I found a home! It's a big bachlor basement suite (say that 10 times!). It's a good deal and is in a really nice area. The bad thing is that it will take me like 45 minutes to get to work and school by walking and taking the subway (that's like going to Kitimat everyday). Another bad thing, it's not furnished like my last place so I guess I have to make a stop at Ikea! Once I move in I'll take some pictures and post them.

Got Milk?

I love this commercial. I see it everyday at work. Enjoy!

Looking again :(

Soooo, I didn't get that place, they found someone else who was willing to take it with the one year lease. Frig! So I'm off to see another place tomorrow. If this place dosn't work out I'm going to kick myself! It's kind of far away but it's a good deal and there are no room mates! I spent the entire day packing. I already have 5 suitcases full, and I could probably fill 5 more. 8 more days until I'm out of this place.

How in the heck!

I have started the grueling task of packing and while packing I keep thinking, how the heck am I going to get all this stuff out of here and to my new place (that I don't have yet)? I have four options that I can think of
A) take numerous taxi trips ($$$)
B) ask my landlord to drive me (If the place is too far she wont drive me)
C) rent a car ($$$ and I don't have the guts to drive here)
D) hire a moving company ($$$$$$$)
I don't know but I'll keep you posted.

Yahhhhh

Congratulations to Amanda for getting a job at GM!!!!!!!!

Another house

I went and saw another place today. It is shared with 5 other girls who are all students. The place was a really good deal, the girls were all really nice and the place was really nice. And only a 10 min walk from Ikea!!! So I agreed to take the place right there and then as I was leaving the land lord was like "oh yeah and there's a 12 month lease". I knew it was to good to be true. I told her I couldn't do a lease and she said she would get back to me after she talked to her husband. So I guess I will find out in a day or two.

Sadness

Film Director, Roberto Ariganello died last Sunday. He was the director of LIFT (Liaison of Independent Film Makers) a place where independent film makers can go and make films with the support of the organization. My class went to LIFT a month ago and Roberto gave us a tour of the place and told us that he really wanted to help each one of us in our careers, even if we weren't apart of LIFT. That's the only time I met him but his death has had a huge impact on my school and the independent film community. Sadness.

House hunting

I went and saw a place today. It's in a really good location, right beside the subway station and mall. The only thing is that it's shared with two other people and they still haven't given those rooms out yet so they could be male or female. hmmm. It's only $500 a month which includes cable and internet and they have a washer and dryer !!!! Something I truly miss. I'm going to see another place on Monday, possibly more, so this place isn't final. I only have 11 days to find a home, I wish I was rich and could just live in a Hotel.

The list

It is finally in my possession! You can guess what I'm going to be doing the entire weekend. Once I watch one episode I can't stop.

So today I was asked to film/edit a promotional video for a makeup school where they have a new air brushing technique. I go next week. I was very surprised they asked me. The makeup school contacted my school and they gave them my name, probably because Anita and I were the only girls in the class and Anita's not interested in make up and stuff like that.

I have came up with a list of things that I have noticed among the people in Toronto.
1. I've never met anyone who was born in Toronto. Everyone moves to Toronto from somewhere else, MOSTLY other countries.
2. In a crown of 20 people, 5 of them are pregnant.
3. EVERYONE (except me) is younger then they look.
4. If your pretty, you can budge in a line up and no one will say anything (this happened to me three times. I wish I could tell them to move their butts to the back of the line!).
5. The Tim Hortons line up always has a minimum of five people in it.
6. When people introduce themselves to each other they first ask where they're from, their name comes second.
7. Your from BC, that means your from Vancouver (it's the same thing). 8. Everyone has a cell phone and an mp3 player with them at all times, from 10 year olds to 80 year olds.
9. Cabins are called cottages.

That's it for the list right now. Chow.

Michael Landsberg

I served Michael Landsberg again at work today. He was with his daughter this time (I think). He ordered a large Popcorn with butter and a bag of Smarties. I was so close to asking for his autograph to give to Tamaras dad but I couldn't remember his name and I would have felt like an idiot.

Celebrities

I'm running out of things to say... Here's all the celebrities I came within 5 feet from since I moved here.

First I saw Stacey Farber who plays Eli on "Degrassi the Next Generation" (love that show!). I think I had only been living in Toronto for a few days and it was my first time venturing outside my house. I was heading towards my school when she walked past me with her boyfriend.
Next I saw Sean Gehon, 2nd place winner on the "Much Music VJ Search" (aka: the gay guy) and entertainment host on "Star!Daily". I was working box office at work when he came and asked if I was giving out free tickets to the early screening of "Monster House", I was stuttering like a moron and told him they were giving them out upstairs. He even said "Thanks Stephanie!" This was the first famous person (if you want to call him that) I had ever talked to. I actually hated the guy on the VJ search. Me, Tamara, and Kevin promised never to watch Much Music again if he won, good he didn't.Next I saw Michael Landsberg. I was working concession at work and he came with his family and ordered popcorn and stuff. I recongnised him from some where but couldn't think of where. After some research I found out he has his own sports talk show called "Off the Record" on TSN. Next I saw the girl band Magneta Lane. Most B.C. people havn't heard of this band, there kind of big out here in Ontario. Anyway, there was a street festival steps outside from work and they were preforming. I watched them preform from the balcony at work and after their preformance I walked by the stage and there they were, being their own roadies, loading their truck with their equipment.
I also met 2 producers, a director, and 2 actors (more like professional extras). They mostly do Indi Canadian stuff. Anyway this list should grow as the Toronto Film Festival starts to take swing. I may be volunteering for some of the events. Now if I had Ruth here I would probably see a celebrity everyday.

One more thing. This is for Christy. Here's what's in my fridge, what can I cook? Jk. Nothing can be done. A pickel is a pickel, milk is milk, they should not be mixed. I'm looking forward to your new blog o' food!

Kev tramp biking

Here's Kevin tramp biking.

My class

Here's a picture of my class. There's one person missing. It's kind of blurry because I got it off the internet. I heard the teachers talking about our class and they said that we created the most trouble. Not me of course! Toronto Film College has more drama than Dawsons Creek!

M&M's

Today was a sad day. I was so excited that Full House was coming out, but when I went to HMV to get it they were sold out! So I went to another HMV and they were sold out too. There were no Walmarts near by so I just went home. I decided to cheer myself up with a bag of M&Ms that were the size of my head. I've been so bored latley, probably because I havn't worked in 4 days and I'm not in school. Iv'e been making little movies about my encounters with Jimmy (my spider friend) and Peter (my other spider friend). If I figure out how to post videos I'll post them for you all. There's one part where I wake up in the middle of the night and talk about the spider, I totally don't even remember filming that, I was so shocked when I was watching the tape and came across it. Anyway, I have made a discovery about raccoons, they poo in the same spot, just like a cat in a litter box. The family of raccoons that live on my roof chose their spot to be right outside my kitchen window. How wonderful. So if you don't want to see raccoon poop, I sugest you don't look at these next pictures.
There are three different people coming to see my place today. Yaaayyy. I was going to go look at places myself today but no one replied back to me and the people I phoned all had different things wrong with them. Some of them wanted a one year lease, some of them were too far away, and some of them were just creepy. One person was like "I didn't post an add." and I was like "You e-mailed me pictures of the place, is your name Sophia?" and she was like "Yah my name is Sophia but I didn't post an add and I didn't e-mail you". Somthing was going on there, after that I gave up for the day. I hate house searching!

My eventful day

*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
Let me tell you about my day. This morning I met Junu and I told her that I was not going to share an apartment with her. She had to problem with it because she knows someone else who she can ask instead. Since we were at the subway station we decided to just go look at the place for the heck of it. Man, am I ever glad I'm not living there! The room we saw was totally trashed, I couldn't believe they would even show it to people. After that I went to a huge mall to shop for a b-day gift for Christina, after having no luck I decided to look at cell phones. Turns out batteries are almost the same price as phones so I just bought a new one. Now this is the wierd part, the one I bought is the same as Tamara's and I didn't even know it! Our last phones were the same too. Yep, very wierd. So after buying the cell phone I went to the food court and had a bite to eat. After that I went and saw the movie "World Trade Center". That was an intense movie. Everyone around me was sobbing and blowing their nose. I wasn't, I'm tough! After the movie ended it was silent and no one moved, it felt wrong to get up. Everybody sat in silence until the credits were over and the screen turned off. When people started leaving, it was so quite you could hear a pin drop. So, that's what kind of movie it is if your in to that. After that I took the subway home, then the wrong bus. So I ended up walking in the pouring rain for ten minutes to the next bus stop. When I got home I started feeling sick. I think it was that food court food. Anyway, I talked to Tamara and Kevin on msn, then the door bell rang!!!! It was my landlord with an eastindian man who wanted to see the place. I quickly ran upstairs and hid my underwear that was lying on the floor. He stayed after and talked with me and Felicia, apparently he's a judge who is tierd of commuting to the city everyday. It was funny, he noticed some of my Bollywood dvds lying around and was very suprised to see a white girl watching those type of movies, except, he didn't say it that way. Tomorrow there are more people coming to see the place. Great. I was going to Wonderland tomorrow but sadly Jenny and Jeremy can't make it anymore, so I'm very sad. I have never been that excited since Dec. 1999, 11:59 p.m. I'm tempted to go by myself but what fun would that be? Most rides are designed for two. I am sad but will recover because tomorrow FULL HOUSE comes out!!!!!!!! So that was my day.

Yay Tamara!

As promised here is a compliment to Tamara for winning the "Guess that Song" contest. Here it is... Tamara, you have a good sense of humour! Now here's a poem. It's called, la Poem of greatness

Kung foo Jackie Chan
Never grow up Peter Pan
Milk rolling like the sea
Monkeys dangling off a tree
Charlie, you may have a chocolate factory
But does it bring you satisfactory?
Shadows dancing on my wall
Who is the fairest of them all?
It's Tamara, duhhh!!!

CONTEST!!!!!!

Ok, it's "Guess that Song" time!!!! Whoever guesses the song first wins!!! What do you win, you might ask? Ask no more, the winner will have the honour of a comment given by me, posted on my blog for all to see, and if your lucky I may even write a poem about you!!! So what are you waiting for, guess that song!!!! Also, I will only be giving the first half of the song because it's a friggin long song. One more thing, you must answer in the comment section, I will not except e-mails. Here's the lyrics! Good luck.
You think that we connect
That the chemistry's correct
Your words walk right through my ears
Presuming I like what I hear
And now I'm stuck in the
The web you're spinning
You've got me for you prey

(Yeah) Sorry I'm not home right nowI'm walking into spiderwebs
So leave a message
And I'll call you back
A likely story, but
(Yeah) leave a message
And I'll call you back

You're intruding on what's mine
And you're taking up my time
Don't have the courage inside me
To tell you please let me be

Communication, a telephonic invasion
I'm planning my escape...

(Yeah) Sorry I'm not home right now
I'm walking into spiderwebs
So leave a message
And I'll call you back
A likely story, but (Yeah) leave a message
And I'll call you back

And it's all your fault
I screen my phone calls
No matter who calls
I gotta screen my phone calls

Yah, Whatever!

I went with Junu today and looked at an apartment. It was a nice apartment but the neighbourhood looked a little scary. It took me an entire day but I decided that's not the best place for me. There would be three of us and I would have to pay half the rent and the other two would pay the other half, what's with that???!!!! Why wouldn't we divide it between three? Anita e-mailed me and told me to come over right away and that it was an emergency. So I rushed down there having no clue what was wrong and when I got there she just complained to me about Junu. Earlier that day I spent the entire morning listening to Junu complian about Anita. I'm always in the middle! I don't think our little movie is not going to work out if those two can't get along. I'm in high school again. Some sad news.... my cell phone has died. I'm going to go buy a new battery tomorrow or if there is another cell phone calling my name then I might just replace it. Sad, I know but it has to be done.
One more thing for fellow bloggers, is anybody having trouble posting pictures with Internet Explorer, or am I the only one? If I want to post a picture I have to log into my Rogers Internet, which I hate using. Arrr.

Just some random pictures

So, Tamara requested that I post more embarassing pictures, but I don't think I have anymore so i'll just post whatever. This is when my parents were visiting in May, we went to Niagra Falls!
I loved those blue rain coat things. I should have kept it!One day I just decided I would go to the Toronto Zoo by myself. That was a fun day. Poor polar bear, it was sooo hot that day.
I watched these gorillas for like an hour. They were so funny. That baby gorilla kept fighting with all the big gorillas and would steal their food while they weren't paying attention. Oh and here's one more picture that has nothing to do with this. I laughed when I saw Ryan, he reminds me of John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
